alonewiththesethoughts

Me, unravelled and unpacked.

Not Funny

There once was a wife saw a text

That got her so terribly vexed

She cried and she wailed

The husband – he paled

Who knows what that couple did next?

Consumed

One has her Mum-in-Law too sick for her chemo

Two has her Daughter attending counselling for food issues

Three hasn’t had a night without a child in her bed for weeks

Four has just had the arrival of number four

Five has her first date in 5 years, in 2 days, 5 hours and 54 minutes

Six has work changes which could make or break her sanity

Seven has to face another month with no work for her husband

Eight has to go back to work when her heart is left at home

Nine hates her job so much she can’t hide it anymore

Ten is praying her Mum gets a miracle cure

All supporting me and I can’t reach up to help them.

Eyes in, heart blocked, ears muffled.

I’ll be back soon.

Trite but True

I want to stay in a castle by a lake

Curl up with tea and a big crumbly cake

Rest on old sofas round a roaring fire

Read trash mags and good books to my heart’s desire

Brave the wild weather with the man of my heart

Revell in his love like back at the start

Touch feelings and places gone cold with neglect

Look forward with hope not back with regret
